چکیده

Au/CeO₂ solids were prepared by two methods: deposition-precipitation (DP) and impregnation (Imp). The prepared solids were calcined under air at 400°C. Both types of catalysts have been tested in the total oxidation of propylene, toluene, carbon monoxide, and carbon black. Au/CeO₂-DP solids were the most reactive owing to the high number of gold nanoparticles and Au⁺ species and the low concentration of Cl⁻ ions present on its surface compared to those observed in Au/CeO₂-Imp solids.

Catalytic Oxidation of Carbon Monoxide by Cobalt Oxide Catalysts Supported on Oxidized-MWCNT

Cobalt oxide catalysts supported on oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) for the low-temperature catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide were prepared by an impregnation-ultrasound method. These catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption/desorption, TEM, XRD, Raman, and H2-TPR methods. The XRD and Raman results indicated that the phase of the synthesized cobalt...

Study of CO Oxidation Activity and Chemical Characterisation of Cu/CeO2 Powder

The catalytic activity for CO oxidation over cerium dioxide (CeO2) and Cu-modified ceria (Cu/CeO2) powders prepared by wetness impregnation method was investigated in flow tube reactor system under atmospheric pressure. Reaction curves of powder samples pre-treated by calcination in mixture of argon and oxygen and by reduction in hydrogen, all at 300 °C were measured. X-ray photoelectron spectr...

Oxidation of benzyl alcohol and carbon monoxide using gold nanoparticles supported on MnO2 nanowire microspheres.

MnO2 was synthesised as a catalyst support material using a hydrothermal method. This involved reacting MnSO4⋅H2O and (NH4)2S2O8 at 120 °C for a range of crystallisation times, which affords control over the morphology and phase composition of the MnO2 formed. Gold was deposited on these supports using sol-immobilisation, impregnation and deposition precipitation methods, and the resultant mate...

Steam Reforming of Bio-Ethanol to Produce Hydrogen over Co/CeO2 Catalysts Derived from Ce1-xCoxO2-y Precursors

A series of Ce1 ́xCoxO2 ́y precursors were prepared by homogeneous precipitation using urea as a precipitant. The Co/CeO2 catalysts obtained from the Ce1 ́xCoxO2 ́y precursors were used for the steam reforming of ethanol to produce hydrogen. Co ions could enter the CeO2 lattices to form Ce1 ́xCoxO2 ́y mixed oxides at x ď 0.2 using the homogeneous precipitation (hp) method. CeO2 was an excellent suppo...
